It gives me a great pleasure to greet you for the first time from the east; I am eagerly looking forward to welcoming each and every companion to our Chapter.
 
At the beginning, let us rededicate ourselves to the fundamental principles of our gentle order, let us reaffirm God’s place as Supreme Ruler as the foundation on which our order rests. If we, my companions, fortified by our faith in God, can live these principals, then the future of Ottawa Chapter 222 is in safekeeping.
 
I urge all companions of the Chapter to show their support to the chapter and its council, by attending chapter and get involved, only by your attendance the chapter will be alive and by your participation we can move forward, I and the council, are thankful for the confidence you have placed on us and we pledge our very best to prove that your trust is well founded and not misplaced.
 
To this end, my wish is that the coming Masonic year be remembered as a year of fellowship, fun and education.
